राम गवनु बन अनरथ मूला। जो सुनि सकल बिस्व भइ सूला॥ सो भावी बस रानि अयानी। करि कुचालि अंतहुँ पछितानी॥ ३ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

rāma gavanu bana anaratha mūlā। jo suni sakala bisva bhai sūlā॥ so bhāvī basa rāni ayānī। kari kūcāli aṃtahũ paṃchitānī॥ 3 ॥

Meaning

Rama's going to the forest is the root of all calamities, hearing which the whole world felt pain. That forest exile too happened under the force of destiny. The foolish queen acted treacherously and in the end regretted it.
