राम बचन सुनि सभय समाजू। जनु जलनिधि महुँ बिकल जहाजू॥ सुनि गुर गिरा सुमंगल मूला। भयउ मनहुँ मारुत अनुकूला॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
rāma bacana suni sabhaya samājū। janu jalanidhi mahuṃ bikala jahājū॥ suni gura girā sumaṅgala mūlā। bhayau manahuṃ māruta anukūlā॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
When Rama's words were heard, the whole assembly became anxious, like a ship tossed in the middle of the sea. But when they heard the guru's gracious, auspicious words, it was as if the wind became favorable to that ship.
