रघुपति प्रजा प्रेमबस देखी। सदय हृदयँ दुखु भयउ बिसेषी॥ करुनामय रघुनाथ गोसाँई। बेगि पाइअहिं पीर पराई॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
raghupati prajā prema basa dekhī। sadaya hṛdayaṃ dukhu bhayau biśeṣī॥ karuṇāmaya raghunātha gosāṃī। begi pāiahim pīra parāī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
Seeing the people moved by love, Raghupati's compassionate heart was deeply pained. The merciful Lord Raghunath is such that he immediately feels another's pain—that is, seeing another's suffering, he is instantly afflicted himself.
