पुलक गात हियँ सिय रघुबीरू। जीह नामु जप लोचन नीरू॥ लखन राम सिय कानन बसहीं। भरतु भवन बसि तप तनु कसहीं॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
pulaka gāta hiyaṃ siya raghubīrū। jīha nāmu japa locana nīrū॥ lakhana rāma siya kānana basahīṁ। bharatu bhavana basi tapa tanu kasahīṁ॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
The body is thrilled with joy; in the heart dwell Sita and Raghubir. The tongue repeats Rama’s Name, and tears of love fill the eyes. Lakshmana, Rama, and Sita dwell in the forest, while Bharata lives in the palace, yet by austerity he keeps his body under restraint.
