पुछिहहिं दीन दुखित सब माता। कहब काह मैं तिन्हहि बिधाता॥ पूछिहि जबहिं लखन महतारी। कहिहउँ कवन सँदेस सुखारी॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
puchihahiṃ dīna dukhita saba mātā। kahaba kāha maiṃ tinhahi bidhātā॥ pūchihi jabahiṃ lakhana mahatārī। kahihauṃ kavana saṃdesa sukhārī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
When all the poor and sorrowful mothers ask me, what will I say to them, O Creator? And when Lakshmana's mother asks me, what pleasant message will I give her?
