नृपहि बचन प्रिय नहिं प्रिय प्राना। करहु तात पितु बचन प्रवाना॥ करहु सीस धरि भूप रजाई। हइ तुम्ह कहँ सब भाँति भलाई॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
nṛpahi bacana priya nahiṃ priya prānā। karahu tāta pitu bacana pravānā॥ karahu sīsa dhari bhūpa rajāī। hai tumha kahaṃ saba bhāṃti bhalāī॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
To the king, words of promise were dear, not even life itself. Therefore, O father, make your father's word true! Carry out the king's command with reverence; in every way, it will be for your good.
