मातु समीप कहत सकुचाहीं। बोले समउ समुझि मन माहीं॥ राजकुमारि सिखावनु सुनहू। आन भाँति जियँ जनि कछु गुनहू॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

mātu samīpa kahata sakucāhīṃ। bole samau samujhi mana māhīṃ॥ rājakumāri sikhāvanu sunahū। āna bhāṃti jiyã jani kachhu gunahū॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

He hesitated to speak in front of his mother. But understanding in his heart that this was the right moment, he said, 'O princess, listen to my counsel. Do not take it in any other way in your heart.'
