मातु मंदि मैं साधु सुचाली। उर अस आनत कोटि कुचाली॥ फरइ कि कोदव बालि सुसाली। मुकता प्रसव कि संबुक काली॥ २ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

mātu mandi maiṃ sādhu sucālī। ura asa ānata koṭi kuchālī॥ pharai ki kodava bāli susālī। muktā prasava ki sambuka kālī॥ 2 ॥

Meaning

If the mother is lowly and I am righteous and saintly, then even entertaining such a thought in the heart is like committing millions of sins. Can a kodo stalk bear fine grain? Can a black shell produce pearls?
