कपटी कायर कुमति कुजाती। लोक बेद बाहेर सब भाँती॥ राम कीन्ह आपन जबही तें। भयउँ भुवन भूषन तबही तें॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
kapṭī kāyara kumati kujātī। loka beda bāhera saba bhāṃtī॥ rāma kīnha āpana jabahī teṃ। bhayauṃ bhuvana bhūṣana tabahī teṃ॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
I am deceitful, timid, of evil intelligence, and of low birth, outside all bounds of worldly and scriptural propriety. But ever since Rama took me as His own, I have become an ornament of the world.
