कहि कहि कोटिक कपट कहानी। धीरजु धरहु प्रबोधिसि रानी॥ फिरा करमु प्रिय लागि कुचाली। बकिहि सराहइ मानि मराली॥ २ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

kahi kahi koṭika kapaṭa kahānī। dhīraju dharahu prabodhisi rānī॥ phirā karamu priya lāgi kuchālī। bakihi sarāhai māni marālī॥ 2 ॥

Meaning

Speaking countless deceitful stories, she kept persuading the queen: "Have patience!" Kaikeyi's fate turned, and she came to like wicked counsel. She began to praise the heron, taking it for a swan—counting an enemy as a friend.
