कहउँ सुभाउ सत्य सिव साखी। भरत भूमि रह राउरि राखी॥ तात कुतरक करहु जनि जाएँ। बैर पेम नहिं दुरइ दुराएँ॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

kahauṃ subhāu satya siva sākhī। bharata bhūmi raha rāuri rākhī॥ tāta kutaraka karahu jani jāeṃ। baira pema nahiṃ durai durāeṃ॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

O Bharata, by my nature I speak the truth; Shiva is my witness. The land of Bharata has remained yours alone. O dear one, do not argue in vain. Enmity and love cannot be hidden.
