जे पुर गाँव बसहिं मग माहीं। तिन्हहि नाग सुर नगर सिहाहीं॥ केहि सुकृतीं केहि घरीं बसाए। धन्य पुन्यमय परम सुहाए॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

Je pura gāṃva basahiṃ maga māhīṃ। Tinhahi nāga sura nagara sihāhīṃ॥ Kehi sukṛtīṃ kehi gharīṃ basāe। Dhanya puṇyamaya parama suhāe॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

The towns and villages lying along the road are envied by the cities of the nagas and gods. They ask in admiration, 'By what fortunate soul and in what auspicious hour were these settled, that they have become so blessed, meritorious, and supremely beautiful?'
