जहँ लगि बेद कही बिधि करनी। श्रवन नयन मन गोचर बरनी॥ देखहु खोजि भुअन दस चारी। कहँ अस पुरुष कहाँ असि नारी॥ २ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

jahaṃ lagi beda kahī vidhi karanī। śravana nayana mana gocara baranī॥ dekhahu khoji bhuana dasa cārī। kahaṃ asa puruṣa kahāṃ asi nārī॥ 2 ॥

Meaning

Wherever the Vedas have spoken of the works of Providence—what can be perceived by ear, eye, and mind—search through the fourteen worlds and see: where are such a man and such a woman?
