हाट बाट घर गलीं अथाईं। कहहिं परसपर लोग लोगाईं॥ कालि लगन भलि केतिक बारा। पूजिहि बिधि अभिलाषु हमारा॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
hāṭa bāṭa ghara galīṃ athāīṃ। kahahiṃ paraspara loga logāīṃ॥ kāli lagana bhali ketika bārā। pūjihi bidhi abhilāṣu hamārā॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
In markets, roads, houses, lanes, and on platforms, men and women everywhere are saying to one another, “How soon will tomorrow’s auspicious moment arrive, when Providence will fulfill our wish?”
