एकु मनोरथु बड़ मन माहीं। सभयँ सकोच जात कहि नाहीं॥ कहहु तात प्रभु आयसु पाई। बोले बानि सनेह सुहाई॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
eku manorathu baḍa mana māhīṃ। sabhayaṃ sakocha jāta kahi nāhīṃ॥ kahahu tāta prabhu āyasu pāī। bole bāni saneha suhāī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
There is another great desire in my heart, but fear and hesitation prevent me from speaking it. [Rama said:] 'Brother, speak.' Then, having received the Lord's permission, Bharata spoke with loving, sweet words.
