ए महि परहिं डासि कुस पाता। सुभग सेज कत सृजत बिधाता॥ तरुबर बास इन्हहि बिधि दीन्हा। धवल धाम रचि रचि श्रमु कीन्हा॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
e mahi parahiṃ ḍāsi kusa pātā। subhaga seja kata sṛjata vidhātā॥ tarubara bāsa inhahi vidhi dīnhā। dhavala dhāma raci raci śramu kīnhā॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
When they lie on kuśa grass and leaves spread on the ground, why would Providence create lovely beds? When Providence gave them dwelling beneath great trees, he needlessly labored to build bright palaces.
