देखि सचिवँ जय जीव कहि कीन्हेउ दंड प्रनामु। सुनत उठेउ ब्याकुल नृपति कहु सुमंत्र कहँ रामु॥ १४८ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
dekhi sacivaṃ jaya jīva kahi kīnheu daṃḍa pranāmu। sunata uṭheu byākula nṛpati kahu sumantra kahaṃ rāmu॥ 148 ॥
Meaning
Seeing him, the minister said 'Jaya-jiva' and bowed down in full prostration. As soon as the king heard it, he rose in distress and said, 'Sumantra, tell me—where is Rama?'
