भरत बचन सुचि सुनि सुर हरषे। साधु सराहि सुमन सुर बरषे॥ असमंजस बस अवध नेवासी। प्रमुदित मन तापस बनबासी॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
bharata bacana suci suni sura haraṣe। sādhū sarāhi sumana sura baraṣe॥ asamaṃjasa basa avadha nevāsī। pramudita mana tāpasa banabāsī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
Hearing Bharata’s pure words, the gods were delighted. Praising him with cries of ‘Excellent! Excellent!’ they showered flowers. The residents of Ayodhya fell into uncertainty, while the ascetics and forest dwellers were filled with joy.
