बसहिं कुदेस कुगाँव कुबामा। कहँ यह दरसु पुन्य परिनामा॥ अस अनंदु अचिरिजु प्रति ग्रामा। जनु मरुभूमि कलपतरु जामा॥ ४ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

basahiṃ kudesa kugāṃva kubāmā। kahaṃ yaha darasu punya parināmā॥ asa anandu aciriju prati grāmā। janu marubhūmi kalapataru jāmā॥ 4 ॥

Meaning

Those who dwell in bad lands, bad villages, and vile households—how is it that they now have this sight, the result of merit? Such joy and wonder are present in every village, as though a wish-fulfilling tree had grown in the desert.
