बार बार गहि चरन सँकोची। चली बिचारि बिबुध मति पोची॥ ऊँच निवासु नीचि करतूती। देखि न सकहिं पराइ बिभूती॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
bāra bāra gahi carana saṃkochī। calī bicāri bibudha mati pocī॥ ūṃca nivāsu nīci kartūtī। dekhi na sakahiṃ parāi bibhūtī॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
Again and again, as the gods grasped her feet, Saraswati became embarrassed. Then she went away, thinking that the gods’ intelligence was base: their abode is high, but their conduct is low. They cannot bear to see another’s splendor.
