अवसि नरेस बचन फुर करहू। पालहु प्रजा सोकु परिहरहू॥ सुरपुर नृपु पाइहि परितोषू। तुम्ह कहुँ सुकृतु सुजसु नहिं दोषू॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
avasi naresa bacana phura karahū। pālahu prajā socu pariharahū॥ surapura nṛpu pāihi paritoṣū। tumha kahuṃ sukṛtu sujasu nahiṃ doṣū॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
Surely make the king's word true. Give up sorrow and protect the people. By doing so, the king will be pleased in heaven, and you will gain merit and good fame, without fault.
