सुनत सभासद उठे अकुलाई। समुझाई गहि बाँह उठाई॥ कह लंकेस कहसि निज बाता। केइँ तव नासा कान निपाता॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
sunata sabhāsada uṭhe akulāī। samujhāī gahi bām̐ha uṭhāī॥ kaha laṃkesa kahasi nija bātā। keĩ tava nāsā kāna nipātā॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
Hearing her words, the councilors grew agitated. They grasped her arm, lifted her up, and tried to calm her. Then the Lord of Lanka said, “Tell me your story—who has cut off your nose and ears?”
