तेहिं कलिकाल बरष बहु बसेउँ अवध बिहगेस। परेउ दुकाल बिपति बस तब मैं गयउँ बिदेस॥ १०४ (ख) ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

tehiṃ kalikāla baraṣa bahu baseuṃ avadha bihagesa। pareu dukāla bipati basa taba maiṃ gayeuṃ bidesa॥ 104 (b) ॥

Meaning

O king of birds, in that Kali age I lived in Ayodhya for many years. Then famine struck there, and I, overwhelmed by misfortune, went to a foreign land.
