सत्व बहुत रज कछु रति कर्मा। सब बिधि सुख त्रेता कर धर्मा॥ बहु रज स्वल्प सत्व कछु तामस। द्वापर धर्म हरष भय मानस॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
satva bahuta raja kachu rati karmā। saba bidhi sukha tretā kara dharmā॥ bahu raja svalpa satva kachu tāmasa। dvāpara dharma harṣa bhaya mānasa॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
When sattva is predominant, with some rajas and love for action, and happiness in every way, that is the dharma of Treta Yuga. When rajas is abundant, sattva is very little, some tamas remains, and the mind has joy and fear, that is the dharma of Dvapara Yuga.
