दम दान दया नहिं जानपनी। जड़ता परबंचनताति घनी॥ तनु पोषक नारि नरा सगरे। परनिंदक जे जग मो बगरे॥ ५ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
dama dāna dayā nahiṃ jānapanī। jaḍatā parabancanatāti ghanī॥ tanu poṣaka nāri narā sagare। paranindak je jaga mo bagare॥ 5 ॥
Meaning
There is no restraint of the senses, no charity, no compassion, and no wisdom. Foolishness and deception of others have greatly increased. Men and women alike are absorbed only in maintaining the body. Those who slander others are the ones who spread through the world.
