बिप्र एक बैदिक सिव पूजा। करइ सदा तेहि काजु न दूजा॥ परम साधु परमारथ बिंदक। संभु उपासक नहिं हरि निंदक॥ २ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

bipra eka baidika siva pūjā। karai sadā tehi kāju na dūjā॥ parama sādhu paramāratha bindaka। sambhu upāsaka nahiṃ hari nindaka॥ 2 ॥

Meaning

There was a Brahmin who always worshipped Shiva according to Vedic rites and had no other work. He was supremely virtuous and knew the highest truth; he was devoted to Shambhu, but he was not a blasphemer of Hari.
