बरन धर्म नहिं आश्रम चारी। श्रुति बिरोध रत सब नर नारी॥ द्विज श्रुति बेचक भूप प्रजासन। कोउ नहिं मान निगम अनुसासन॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
barana dharma nahiṃ āśrama cārī। śruti virodha rata saba nara nārī॥ dvija śruti becaka bhūpa prajāsana। kou nahiṃ māna nigama anuśāsana॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
In Kali age, neither the duties of caste nor the four stages of life remain. Men and women all turn against the Vedas. Brahmins sell the Vedas, kings devour their subjects, and no one follows the Vedic command.
