मारहु धरहु जनि जाइ। कटकटहिं पूँछ उठाइ। दहँ दिसि लँगूर बिराज। तेहिं मध्य कोसलराज॥ ८ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

mārahu dharahu jani jāi। kaṭakaṭahiṃ pūṃcha uṭhāi। dahaṃ disi laṃgūra birāja। tehiṃ madhya kosalarāja॥ 8 ॥

Meaning

They shouted, 'Kill him! Seize him! Do not let him go!' raising their tails and chattering their teeth. Their long tails shone in all ten directions, and in their midst stood the king of Kosala, Rama.
