चले मत्त गज जूथ घनेरे। प्राबिट जलद मरुत जनु प्रेरे॥ बरन बरन बिरदैत निकाया। समर सूर जानहिं बहु माया॥ २ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

cale matta gaja jūtha ghanere। prābiṭa jalada maruta janu prere॥ barana barana biradaita nikāyā। samara sūra jānahiṃ bahu māyā॥ 2 ॥

Meaning

Many herds of maddened elephants moved out, as if they were monsoon clouds driven by the wind. There were colorful bands of valiant warriors, heroes in battle who knew many kinds of sorcery.
