Meaning

When Shri Raghupati grew furious in battle against his foe, the arrows in the quiver seemed to quiver with eagerness. Hearing the fierce roar of the bow, all the man-eating demons were gripped by terror. Mandodari’s heart trembled; the tortoise, the earth, and the mountains shook. The elephants of the directions clutched the earth with their tusks and trumpeted. Seeing this wonder, the gods laughed.
