स्यामसुरभि पय बिसद अति गुनद करहिं सब पान। गिरा ग्राम्य सिय राम जस गावहिं सुनहिं सुजान॥ १० (ख) ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
śyāmasurabhi paya bisada ati gunada karahiṃ saba pāna। girā grāmya siya rāma jasa gāvahiṃ sunahiṃ sujāna॥ 10 (b) ॥
Meaning
The black cow's milk, though the cow is dark, is exceedingly pure and nourishing. On that account everyone drinks it. Likewise, though in a rustic tongue, the fame of Sita and Rama is sung and heard eagerly by the wise.
