सयन कीन्ह नृप आयसु मानी। आसन जाइ बैठ छलग्यानी॥ श्रमित भूप निद्रा अति आई। सो किमि सोव सोच अधिकाई॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

sayana kīnha nṛpa āyasu mānī। āsana jāi baiṭha chalagyānī॥ śramita bhūpa nidrā ati āī। so kimi sova soca adhikāī॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

The king obeyed the command and lay down to sleep, while the crafty one sat down on a seat. The king was tired and fell into a deep sleep. But how could that deceiver sleep? He was filled with great anxiety.
