महामंत्र जोइ जपत महेसू। कासीं मुकुति हेतु उपदेसू॥ महिमा जासु जान गनराऊ। प्रथम पूजिअत नाम प्रभाऊ॥ २ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

mahāmantra joi japata mahesū। kāsīṃ mukuti hetu upadesū॥ mahimā jāsu jāna ganarāū। prathama pūjiata nāma prabhāū॥ 2 ॥

Meaning

This is the great mantra that Mahesh Shiva recites and teaches in Kashi as the means to liberation. Its glory is known to Ganaraja; by the power of this Name, it is worshipped first of all.

Context

This is Chaupai 2, Under Doha 19 from Bal Kand, in the episode “Glory of Rama's Name”. The episode describes the supreme glory of Rama's name as the most accessible refuge in Kali Yuga.
