कछुक दिवस बीते एहि भाँती। जात न जानिअ दिन अरु राती॥ नामकरन कर अवसरु जानी। भूप बोलि पठए मुनि ग्यानी॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

kachuka divasa bīte ehi bhāṃtī। jāta na jāni'a dina aru rātī॥ nāmakarana kara avasaru jānī। bhūpa boli paṭhaye muni gyānī॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

In this way, some days passed. The passing of day and night was not even noticed. Then, knowing that the time for the naming ceremony had come, the king sent for the wise sage Vasishtha.
