जिन्ह एहिं बारि न मानस धोए। ते कायर कलिकाल बिगोए॥ तृषित निरखि रबि कर भव बारी। फिरिहहिं मृग जिमि जीव दुखारी॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
jinha ehiṃ bāri na mānasa dhoe। te kāyara kalikāla bigoe॥ tṛṣita nirakhi rabi kara bhava bārī। phirihahiṃ mṛga jimi jīva dukhārī॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
Those who have not washed their minds in this water of Rama’s glorious fame are ruined by the cowardly Kali age. Like a thirsty deer that mistakes a mirage created by the sun’s rays for real water and runs toward it, only to suffer when it finds none, so too do such sorrowful beings wander and suffer.
