जनमीं प्रथम दच्छ गृह जाई। नामु सती सुंदर तनु पाई॥ तहँहुँ सती संकरहि बिबाहीं। कथा प्रसिद्ध सकल जग माहीं॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
janamīṃ prathama dachcha gṛha jāī। nāmu satī sundara tanu pāī॥ tahaṃhuṃ satī saṃkarahi bibāhīṃ। kathā prasiddha sakala jaga māhīṃ॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
First she was born in the house of Daksha, where her name was Sati and she had a beautiful body. There too Sati was married to Shiva himself. This story is famous throughout the world.
