हृदयँ सोचु समुझत निज करनी। चिंता अमित जाइ नहिं बरनी॥ कृपासिंधु सिव परम अगाधा। प्रगट न कहेउ मोर अपराधा॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

hṛdayaṃ sochu samujhata nija karanī। cintā amita jāi nahiṃ baranī॥ kṛpāsindhu siva parama agādhā। pragaṭa na kaheu mora aparādhā॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

Remembering her own conduct, Sati had such sorrow in her heart and such boundless anxiety that it could not be described. [She understood that] Shiva is the supreme, unfathomable ocean of compassion, and so he did not openly speak of my fault.
