एहि बिधि जग हरि आश्रित रहई। जदपि असत्य देत दुख अहई॥ जौं सपनें सिर काटै कोई। बिनु जागें न दूरि दुख होई॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
ehi vidhi jaga hari āśrita rahai। jadapi asatya deta dukha ahai॥ jaum̐ sapaneṃ sira kāṭai koī। binu jāgeṃ na dūri dukha hoī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
In this way, the world remains dependent on Hari. Although unreal, it still gives pain; just as if someone cuts off your head in a dream, the pain does not go away until you wake up.
