देखन नगर भूपसुत आए। समाचार पुरबासिन्ह पाए॥ धाए धाम काम सब त्यागी। मनहुँ रंक निधि लूटन लागी॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
dekhana nagara bhūpasuta āe। samācāra purabāsinha pāe॥ dhāe dhāma kāma saba tyāgī। manahuṃ raṃka nidhi lūṭana lāgī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
When the city-dwellers learned that the two princes had come to see the city, they all rushed out, leaving home and work behind, as if paupers had run to plunder a treasure.
