भरद्वाज सुनि संकर बानी। सकुचि सप्रेम उमा मुसुकानी॥ लगे बहुरि बरनै बृषकेतू। सो अवतार भयउ जेहि हेतू॥ ४ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

bharadvāja suni saṅkara bānī। sakuci saprema umā musukānī॥ lage bahuri baranai bṛṣaketū। so avatāra bhayau jehi hetū॥ 4 ॥

Meaning

Hearing Shiva’s words, Parvati smiled shyly and lovingly. Then Shiva, the Bull-bannered Lord, began to describe the reason for that incarnation of the Lord.
