बामदेव रघुकुल गुर ग्यानी। बहुरि गाधिसुत कथा बखानी॥ सुनि मुनि सुजसु मनहिं मन राऊ। बरनत आपन पुन्य प्रभाऊ॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

bāmadeva raghukula gura gyānī। bahuri gādhisuta kathā bakhānī॥ suni muni sujasu manahiṃ mana rāū। baranata āpana punya prabhāū॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

Bamadeva, the wise teacher of the Raghu clan, then recounted the story of Gadhi’s son. Hearing the sage’s noble fame, the king mentally began to praise the power of his own merits.
