बालचरित अति सरल सुहाए। सारद सेष संभु श्रुति गाए॥ जिन्ह कर मन इन्ह सन नहिं राता। ते जन बंचित किए बिधाता॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

bālacarita ati sarala suhāe। sārada seṣa sambhu śruti gāe॥ jinha kara mana inha sana nahiṃ rātā। te jana baṃcita kie bidhātā॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

The very simple and lovely childhood pastimes of Rama have been sung by Saraswati, Shesha, Shiva, and the Vedas. Those whose minds have not become devoted to them, the Creator has left bereft.
