बहु धनुहीं तोरीं लरिकाईं। कबहुँ न असि रिस कीन्हि गोसाईं॥ एहि धनु पर ममता केहि हेतू। सुनि रिसाइ कह भृगुकुलकेतू॥ ४ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

bahu dhanuhīṃ torīṃ larikāīṃ। kabahuṃ na asi ris kīnhi gosāīṃ॥ ehi dhanu para mamatā kehi hetū। suni risāi kaha bhṛgukulakeṭū॥ 4 ॥

Meaning

“O Gosain, in childhood I broke many little bows. Yet you never became so angry. Why such attachment to this bow?” Hearing this, Bhṛgukula’s banner, Parashurama, grew furious and said—.
