यह सुधि कोल किरातन्ह पाई। हरषे जनु नव निधि घर आई॥ कंद मूल फल भरि भरि दोना। चले रंक जनु लूटन सोना॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

yaha sudhi kola kirātanha pāī। haraṣe janu nava nidhi ghara āī॥ kanda mūla phala bhari bhari donā। cale raṅka janu lūṭana sonā॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

When the Kol and Kirat tribes heard this news of Rama’s arrival, they rejoiced as if the nine treasures had come to their own homes. Filling their baskets with roots, bulbs, and fruits, they set out like poor men going to loot gold.
