यह सुधि गुहँ निषाद जब पाई। मुदित लिए प्रिय बंधु बोलाई॥ लिए फल मूल भेंट भरि भारा। मिलन चलेउ हियँ हरषु अपारा॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
yah sudhi guhaṃ niṣāda jaba pāī। mudita lie priya bandhu bolāī॥ lie phala mūla bheṭa bhari bhārā। milana caleu hiyaṃ harṣu apārā॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
When Guha, the Nishada king, received this news, he rejoiced and called his dear companions and kinsmen. Taking fruits and roots as gifts and filling them into baskets, he set out to meet them; his heart overflowed with joy.
