उदउ करहु जनि रबि रघुकुल गुर। अवध बिलोकि सूल होइहि उर॥ भूप प्रीति कैकइ कठिनाई। उभय अवधि बिधि रची बनाई॥ २ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

udau karahu jani rabi raghukula guru। avadha biloki sūla hoihi ura॥ bhūpa prīti kaikai kaṭhinaī। ubhaya avadhi bidhi raci banāī॥ 2 ॥

Meaning

O Sun, guru of the Raghu line, do not rise yet. Seeing Ayodhya, your heart will feel great pain. Fate has fashioned both the king's affection and Kaikeyi's cruelty, setting the limit of each.
