रामहि केवल प्रेमु पिआरा। जानि लेउ जो जाननिहारा॥ राम सकल बनचर तब तोषे। कहि मृदु बचन प्रेम परिपोषे॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

rāmahi kevala premu piārā। jāni leu jo jānanihārā॥ rāma sakala banacara taba toṣe। kahi mṛdu bacana prema paripoṣe॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

Rama loves only love. Let one who truly understands know this. Then, by speaking gentle words filled with affection, Rama satisfied all those who lived in the forest.
