मैं पुनि करि प्रवान पितु बानी। बेगि फिरब सुनु सुमुखि सयानी॥ दिवस जात नहिं लागिहि बारा। सुंदरि सिखवनु सुनहु हमारा॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

maiṃ puni kari pravāna pitu bānī। begi phiraba sunu sumukhi sayānī॥ divasa jāta nahiṃ lāgihi bārā। suṃdarī sikhavanu sunahu hamārā॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

O gentle and wise one, listen: I too will fulfill my father's command and return quickly. The days will pass, and the time will not be far off. O fair lady, listen to this counsel of ours.
