करमनास जलु सुरसरि परई। तेहि को कहहु सीस नहिं धरई॥ उलटा नामु जपत जगु जाना। बालमीकि भए ब्रह्म समाना॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
karamanāsa jalu surasari paraī। tehi ko kahahu sīsa nahiṃ dharai॥ ulṭā nāmu japata jagu jānā। bālamīki bhae brahma samānā॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
The waters of the Karmanasha flow into the Ganga; then tell me, who would not place it upon his head? The world knows that by chanting the reversed name, Valmiki became like Brahma.
