जो सेवकु साहिबहि सँकोची। निज हित चहइ तासु मति पोची॥ सेवक हित साहिब सेवकाई। करै सकल सुख लोभ बिहाई॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
jo sevaku sāhibahi saṃkocī। nija hita cahai tāsu mati pocī॥ sevaka hita sāhiba sevakāī। karai sakala sukha lobha bihāī॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
The servant who puts his Lord to inconvenience and seeks only his own welfare has a base mind. The servant’s true good lies in serving the Lord alone, abandoning all pleasures and all greed.
